A 24-year-old man who was engaged to his partner was found dead at his home, an inquest has heard.

Christopher Parrott died on April 7, 2024, at his home Flint House in Buckenham Tofts, Mundford.

The inquest opened on April 11 at Norfolk Coroners Court and the area coroner Yvonne Blake confirmed the medical cause of death had been given as “hanging”. 

Police attended the scene and his mother Marie Parrott provided an official identification statement for her son's body.

Mr Parrott was born on August 31, 1999, in Bury St Edmunds and had been engaged to his partner Laura since 2021 and they had been in a relationship since 2016.

The full inquest to determine the official cause of death is scheduled to take place on September 26 at Norfolk Coroner's Court.
