There are 10 flood alerts in place in Norfolk on Wednesday (January 3) after Storm Henk brought heavy rain and high winds to parts of the UK on Tuesday.

The Met Office had initially issued a yellow weather warning for rain and wind in Norfolk yesterday, but the latter was upped to amber as gusts reaching up to 60mph were forecast.

Storm Henk brought widespread disruption to the county, including leaving hundreds of homes without power and Greater Anglia has issued a warning not to travel by train.

Incidents of flooding included along Podmore Lane in Scarning on Tuesday evening, where a driver was forced to escape on to the roof of their car.

While no weather warnings are in place on Wednesday, there are 10 flood alerts still active in Norfolk.
