EAST Harling Parish Church is staging a wedding festival next month, with dresses, flowers and photographs ranging from the medieval times to the present day.
EAST Harling Parish Church is staging a wedding festival next month, with dresses, flowers and photographs ranging from the medieval times to the present day.
There will also be an open gardens event for visitors and a scarecrow competition.
The festival starts on Friday, June 27 at 1.45pm when children from East Harling School will enact a wedding ceremony in the church conducted by the Rev N Kinsella. The church will be open from 1.45pm-6pm.
On Saturday, June 28, the church will be open from 10am-6pm, with bell ringing, and an organ recital of wedding music. Couples will be renewing their wedding vows.
On Sunday, June 29 the Bishop of Norwich will conduct a service at 9.45am and the church will be open afterwards until 6pm when there will be a choral evensong. During the day there will be a second recital of wedding music.
On Monday, June 30 the church will be open from 10am to noon.
Refreshments will be served in the church grounds throughout the weekend.
