Topps Tiles in Thetford is putting on a family fun day this weekend to raise money for the charity Help for Heroes.

Store manager Amanda Hullett has put together a programme of activities which she hopes will raise lots of cash to help soldiers wounded in Afghanistan.

At noon, “homegrown hero” Pete Anderson is the star of a sponsored leg wax by Finishing Touches of Thetford and raffle prizes include a free floor tiling by DMS Tiling, a Topps Tiling Tool Kit, a free meal at The Chase pub and a winter car care kit from Thetford Auto Parts. There's fun for children with face painting, goody bags and a 'guess the sweeties in a jar' donated by Auntie Pam's Sweet Shop.

The event takes place on Saturday at Topps Tiles, Stephenson's Way, London Road, Thetford.
