Forest Heath School Sports Partnership was given funding from the Golf Foundation to pay for instructors to coach at all of its schools and also for equipment, staff training and to organise festivals and tournaments.

Sixty Year 3 pupils from Lakenheath Primary, West Row Primary and Tuddenham Primary School participated in a Tri Golf festival organised by Jay Morris the School Sports Coordinator for Forest Heath School Sports Partnership and Professional Duncan Abbott from West Suffolk Golf Centre.

Pupils learned new skills and competed in a tournament at Brandon Leisure Centre where Students from Mildenhall Upper School helped keep score and coach pupils.

A spokesman saidL “A great day was had by all, staff and pupils gave great feedback about the day and look forward to the next events.

“Thank you to Brandon leisure centre for the free use of its facilities, and to all the young leaders and Step into Sport leaders from MCT who gave up their time to help out at the event.”
