Whitewash keeps Thetford Tennis Club in hunt for promotion

Thetford Tennis Club’s men’s team kept their promotion hopes alive with an 8-0 home win over Exning B.
Colin Chamberlain and Kevin Walsh were in the mood from the start, winning their first match 6-1 6-3 while Nick Chamberlain and Colin Walsh also started strongly, winning 6-4 6-0.
In the reverse matches Colin and Kevin continued their fine form and showed no mercy in a comfortable 6-0 6-1 win. Nick and Colin finished a good evening;s work with another solid display to complete a 6-2 6-4 win. Promotion to the first division could be a step closer if Thetford can win their vital upcoming match.
