Triple joy for cycling ace

Cycling Club Breckland’s 13-year-old prodigy Declan Davis made it a hat-trick of wins in the midweek 10-mile time trial at Scoulton.

Davis led the way in hot and breezy conditions in a time of 24:20 from Adam Cross (24:57). Geoff Muller claimed third place in 25:02, from Danny Watkins (25:14) and Mark Fairhead (25:48).

Other notable times were posted by Emily Davis (30:15) and Lewis Long (31:27).

A large number of Breckland riders competed on Friday, with excellent times from Chris Nudds (23:27), Declan Davis (24:09), Mark Fairhead (24:09), Laura Gambling (24:24), Adam Cross (24:46) and Emily Davis (with a PB of 29:31).

Davis competed again on Sunday morning with his Grandad, Don Saunders, in a tandem event. Yet again a blistering time and a PB was set of 21:26.
