East Harling 2, Martham 5

Having beaten North Walsham away the previous week, Martham were expected to be a good side.

And so it proved as they had the better of possession in the match. However, Harling had the better chances and if taken could have at least drawn the game.

Martham were 2-0 up by half-time, but at 1-0 Danny Watts went through and his placed shot hit a post. The second half saw Harling pushing to get back into the game and when Watts went through he was fouled in the box.

Lee West hammered home the penalty and Harling really pressed, but were caught on the break and a great shot made it 3-1. A short free-kick to Lee West and he scored a great goal from 25 yards into the top corner. Ben Chase then went clean through and beat the keeper but his shot went over the bar.

Harling continued to press and had chances but Martham scored two more on the break to finish 5-2 winners.

For Harling, Ben Chase and Ali Mason did well whilst Lee West was man of the match.

Next, Harling visit to Cromer Reserves, 2.30pm kick-off.
