The Christmas festivities got off to a good start at Richmond Park Golf Club, Watton, on December 18 when the Seniors held their seasonal Texas Scramble and Christmas lunch.
The Christmas festivities got off to a good start at Richmond Park Golf Club, Watton, on December 18 when the Seniors held their seasonal Texas Scramble and Christmas lunch. Competitions secretary David Wakeford had devised a twist to the usual format which caught out quite a few of the better players but received almost unanimous approval.
After lunch, Seniors' Captain Ken Cundy presented the prizes to the winning team of Ed Durham, Martin Parker, Richard Dabin and Jeff Sutton who were comfortably ahead of the other 11 teams taking part.
Ken presented last season's captain, Les Payne, with the customary piece of glassware awarded to all Seniors' captains who manage to stay the course.
