Thetford Town have climbed out of the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division relegation zone thanks to a 1-0 win at Ipswich Wanderers.

James Buhlemann’s goal was enough to settled the clash with their survival rivals, moving Town above local rivals Swaffham Town with five games left to play.

Swaffham, on a horror run of seven straight defeats, have the chance to hit back tonight but face a tough proposition at high-flying Godmanchester Rovers.

Thetford return to action on Friday night when they host Gorleston in a 7.45pm kick-off at Mundford Road, who look to have secured their survival.
