Thetford Town were without a match at the weekend but returned to action at Whitton United last night, slipping to a 3-0 defeat.
The defeat leaves Thetford just two places clear of the bottom three, although with an eight-point cushion. They already have more points than last season but are still not fully clear of relegation worries.
Mark Scott’s side return to Mundford Road on Saturday for a clash with local rivals Mildenhall Town.
After that match the Brecklanders will have just six matches remaining of their Thurlow Nunn Premier Division campaign.
