Kath Malvern has changed from hockey to golf – and looks set to be just as successful in one as the other.
A knee injury forced a change of sport for the rising Thetford hockey star, who made the England U21 team as a member of Dereham Ladies.
A year after changing hockey sticks for golf clubs she is already playing off a 16 handicap and on Monday she won the Norfolk Ladies County Golf Association’s division meeting for handicaps between 15-20 at King’s Lynn.
Clare Anderson from Costessey Park won the Scratch Cup and carded the same score as Kath but lost on count back.
