Thetford Rovers gained an emphatic result when returning to league action at Euston Park against Hemsby this week. They won 11-1 to provide a perfect farewell present for joint manager Simon Allen-Brooks, who has had to step down due to work commitments. Rob Sims will now operate as sole manager.

With a new look line up and shape in operation it did not take Rovers long to take the lead as Danny Foster struck first. Further goal from Steven Davies (two), Bobby Shepherd and Foster again made it 5-0 at half time. The goals continued to flow in the second half with Foster and Davies both completing hat-tricks, plus further goals from sub Ricky Bowers (two), Sam Bond and the goal of the game from Alex Dagraca.

The second half also saw the woodwork struck twice and Davies missing a penalty while Hemsby replied with a goal of their own. On Saturday Rovers go to Hempnall.

The Ted Zipfel man of the match went to Steven Davies.
