Thetford Independents Ladies entertained Taverham Ladies on Sunday and won 3-0.
Indies scored two quick goals midway through the first half. Having smothered the ball, Thetford's keeper, Tracy Barham, released it to midfield and after a good run down the right, Kristy Harris passed across for Angela Stones to steer the ball in from the left. Michelle Lusardi scored the second a minute later and added her second 10 minutes later with a superb low strike from outside the area, which went in off the post.
Taverham played some good football as well, but couldn't break down Steph Hughes and Telma Almeida in defence. Joanna Fernandes was excellent and would have had a couple herself if not for some unselfish play. Lusardi took over in goal and used her area well in the second half. Taverham's keeper was outstanding, making countless saves in both halves.
