An engineering firm has created a new fighting fit machine – Thetford ladies’ hockey team.
Warren Services, based at Fison Way in the town, heard the ladies were in need of new tops and, through the company’s work council, sponsored them to the tune of 409.
Estee Ross, Warren Services HR Manager, and a keen sports woman herself, joined the team inside the factory to show off the new look.
Members of the club, which has both a ladies’ and a men’s team, spent Saturday promoting a fun day of hockey activities for all ages which will be held on Sunday, March 4 at Breckland Leisure Centre multi-use games area from noon to 3pm
Sarah Nichol, ladies’ team captain, said: “Warren Services has been very generous to give us the money for these new-look tops. It’s amazing when local companies can help out local clubs.”
Training is held at Breckland Leisure Centre on Wednesdays from 7-9pm and, for those aged five to 15, on Sundays from 11am-noon.
