THETFORD were very complacent in the first half of this top-versus-bottom hockey clash with the pace of Simon Jones causing issues for the back four.

Thetford were soon 1-0 down but an excellent cross and some persistent running from Blower saw him scramble the ball home. Unfortunately, Thetford were still napping and let another two goals in quick succession.

Town had to rally round at this point and Godbold managed to dolly the ball over the top of a stranded goalkeeper.

The game was tied at 3-3 into the break after Tim Thompson flicked the ball into the roof of the net from a well-executed

short-corner routine.

The second half was more in Town's favour with the short-corner routine providing another excellent finish from Thompson.

Godbold's short corner was illegally kicked off the line and Skidmore stepped up to convert the awarded penalty flick.

Thompson rounded off his best performance for Town with a rocket of a shot past an unaware keeper.
