The third and final round of Suffolk’s Summer League swimming galas was held at Leiston.
Thetford Dolphins’ Dan Collins had a particularly memorable day as he broke three club records, 13&U 100m IM (in a time of 1:13.60), 12&U 50m backstroke ( 34.03) and 13&U 100m freestyle (1-04.81), together with an additional personal best.
Overall, a third of the day’s events culminated in new PBs being recorded. Daniel Clarke achieved two, sisters Beth and Abbie Farrow achieved one each, as did Jake Clarke, Georgina Free, Grace McGill, Charlotte Cronk, and Katherine and Oliver Mold. Thetford ended the day holding onto their second round third place. This series of galas are for swimmers aged 13 and under so there’s much hope for the club’s future.
