Thetford Dolphins swimming club took to the road again with a trip to Whittlesey, near Peterborough, for the second round of the National Arena League.

Thetford Dolphins swimming club took to the road again with a trip to Whittlesey, near Peterborough, for the second round of the National Arena League.

Against five strong teams, the Dolphins swimmers never let themselves down, managing to produce one club record, one first place and five personal bests.

Club records fell to the girls 4x50m freestyle relay team of Grace Mcgill, Amie Copp, Polly Plamplin and Alexandra Ashley.

The first place was Grace Mcgill in the 100m backstroke.

The following all gained personal bests: James Foot, 50m breaststroke; Maisie Francis, 100m butterfly; Katharine Mold, 100m freestyle; Archie King, 50m freestyle and Alex Darton, 100m backstroke.

Thetford Dolphins meet at Waterworld Leisure Centre in Croxton Road, Thetford.

The club is open to swimmers of all abilities, aiming to encourage, teach and instil confidence.
