Thetford Dolphins juniors were again in good form in their latest gala and missed out on second place by just one point.

With 10 first places, 14 personal bests and four swimmers making their gala debuts, it was an encouraging evening at Newmarket.

The winning Dolphins were Aimee Dickerson (100m IM, PB), Daniel Penny (50m back), Francesca Long (50m back, PB), Ben Buckley (50m fly, PB), Benjamin Flood (50m breast), Logan Mathers (50m free), Amalee Neill-Gourlay (50m free), Louis James (50m breast), Archie King (50m fly) and Roan Cooper (50m free, PB).Personal bests were recorded by Eleanor Brown (50m free), Tommy de Sousa (50m breast), Thomas Ridding (50m back), Ciara Lewis (50m free), Alicia-Mae Howard (50m free and 50m fly), Dominic Trowell (50m back), Amalee Neill-Gourlay (50m fly) and Aimee Dickerson (50m fly and 50m back).

It was a fine effort, with a number of swimmers competing in their first gala.
