Thetford Town Cricket Club hosted their third Summer Ball on July 17, which yet again was a great success. The Ball is a major fund-raiser for the club, and all profits go towards securing a new pavilion after the previous 100-year-old clubhouse had to be demolished due to asbestos.

Thetford Town Cricket Club hosted their third Summer Ball on July 17, which yet again was a great success.

The Ball is a major fund-raiser for the club, and all profits go towards securing a new pavilion after the previous 100-year-old clubhouse had to be demolished due to asbestos.

Dressed in their finest, guests mingled in the evening sunshine whilst sipping complimentary Pimms, the perfect summer tipple.

After having photographs taken, it was time to take a seat inside the lovely decorated marquees for some quick speeches from club chairman Vic Peters and Thetford Mayoress Pauline Quadling.

After the formalities, guests enjoyed a buffet before letting their hair down and dancing the night away at the disco.

Thank you to Andy Luckhurst, Thetford Garden Centre and Thetford Rugby Club, for donations towards the event.

The next fund-raising event being held by Thetford Cricket Club is a quiz night tomorrow evening (Friday).

Entry fee is 2 per person, with a maximum of five people per team.

It begins at 7.30pm and drinks will be available.
