Thetford extended their winning streak to four games when they hosted the Norwich side at the Breckland Sports Centre on Saturday.
Thetford blew the Exiles away with a fine display of creative hockey and clinical finishing by Reece Laffar who notched up five. It was a good team performance however which created the chances and forced the penalty corners which Laffar hammered home.
Despite missing some key players Thetford looked good for more and the Norwich players were 3-0 down at half-time and looking for answers.
Those answers were not to come in the second half and with Thetford’s strong back line, of Alastair Smith and Kieran Allen, few chances were made available to them and keeper Jeff King had little to do.
Laffar added three goals to the total and Shane Laws swept in a fine goal from a Joe Clarke centre. Clarke then added a seventh to round off a confident display.
