Swaffham’s Minis played their first games of the season at the West Norfolk Development Festival, with five age groups from six up to 12 years.
Two under-7’s tag teams (6-7yrs of age) played their first-ever games of competitive rugby.
Both trailed in the first half but started to get into the game by keeping to their attacking and defensive positions in the second half. This made it easier for them to get the tags from the other team and pass the ball around to each other leading to them scoring tries at last!!
In the end both teams came back to win, and both went on to enjoy the experience again before the end of the day. One team lost the other two games while the other team drew one and lost one.
The other age groups had a mixed day, winning half their matches and just missing out on their finals.
