Swaffham RUFC fought hard against a Thetford side who normally play in a higher league, but by half-time the scoreline was 18-0 in Thetford's favour.
The second half saw Swaffham grit their teeth and put on a show of strength which resulted in 14 points being clawed back in the final 15 minutes of the game.
It's fair to say that the underdogs, Swaffham, didn't lose the game - they simply ran out of time.
The final score was Swaffham 14, Thetford 18.
A second pre-season game will take place at North Pickenham Road against Watton on Saturday.
