The Monday and Saturday Ishin Ryu Ju-Jitsu students at Trevor Steward's Brandon classes successfully passed their last gradings of the year.

There was a presentation evening where the students received their next belt and certificate in front of their proud parents.

Steward said: “All the infants did a fantastic grading which involved throws, groundwork, lots of fitness and much more. It was great to see them with so much determination and courage to keep going.

“The juniors' grading lasted 1 hour and ten minutes with continuous throws, combinations, groundwork, fitness tests and much more. It was an awesome grading to watch and they all gave it 100 per cent with true spirit and dedication. Whatever I asked them to do they just kept getting back off the mats and fought for their next grade.”
