Former ladies’ captain of Richmond Park Golf Club, Rosie Sutterby, invited all the ladies to join her in her 60th birthday celebrations.
The occasion was marked with a team competition played in the ‘Waltz’ 1-2-3 format, but to make it somewhat more challenging, it was played alternately from the yellow and red tees.
Great fun was had by all the ladies, with some good golf, but also some ‘interesting’ shots being played, but all agreed it was a wonderful day.
On returning to the clubhouse Rosie had arranged for scones with cream and jam to be served to everyone, much needed and enjoyed after the exertions of the morning.
As a fitting end to the day, when the results were announced, it was Rosie’s team comprising herself, Jane Playford and Sandy McCormack, who were victorious with 65 points.
