It was a busy weekend for Thetford Town Boxing Club with two boxers in action for the club.

First up on Friday night was Roni Dean, the first female to ever represent TTBC. Roni and her team travelled to Wellington Barracks, Westminster to take on Sunni Torgman from Islington ABC, a very tough and experienced boxer.

Roni upped her game considerably with some powerful, skilful boxing, having her opponent on the back foot in all three rounds. Unfortunately Roni was on the wrong side of a split decision with the Islington fighter getting the win.

On Saturday night at the Hippodrome Circus, Great Yarmouth was Michael Jordan, who lost out on a split decision to Billy Potter of Kingfisher ABC. Roni Dean is in action again this coming Friday evening, March 10, at Cambridge Corn Exchange. Thetford Town Boxing Club is still actively seeking sponsors for the club and individual squad boxers.
