To train at the same facilities as some of their footballing heroes would be just a dream for many young boys. But that dream came true for the lads of Rocklands United U8, as they stepped onto the training pitches of Norwich City FC, courtesy of the Aviva Colney Experience.

To train at the same facilities as some of their footballing heroes would be just a dream for many young boys.

But that dream came true for the lads of Rocklands United U8, as they stepped onto the training pitches of Norwich City FC, courtesy of the Aviva Colney Experience.

Aviva rewarded the players of Rocklands with this unique opportunity through their success in the Aviva-sponsored Summer Cup in June. The players had the chance to be coached by the Norwich City Academy coaches, before playing matches, being taken on a tour of the facilities and then sitting down in players' canteen for a well-deserved meal, prepared by the Norwich City team chef.

Team manager, Mark Whitmore, said: “We'd like to thank Aviva for giving the boys such a chance.

“They have had a wonderful day and will be playing with a spring in their step for the rest of the season!”

Rocklands U9 are looking to recruit new players. If interested call Terry MacArthur on 07796144833.
