Missing the course record by one second, Pete Balls (West Suffolk Wheelers) was fastest overall in 19 minutes 29 seconds with N Piccoli, API 20:09 and his club-mate P Arnold 20:59 in close pursuit.
Celebrating their first-ever win in an open event Breckland's Don Saunders and grandson Declan Davis beat club-mate Martin Badham and Ray Legg, West Suffolk Wheelers in the tandem event with their time of 24 minutes exactly to the other pair's 28:48.
Fastest Breckland rider was Alan Stevenson with his 22:46 ride while young Adam Cross achieved yet another personal best time of 23:40.
Other times were Mark Fairhead 24:17, Laura Gambling 24:22, Tony Reynolds 25:12, Bob Day 25:43, Keith Grasby 25:47 and Emily Davis, who as a reserve got a last-minute ride, timed at 31:43.
Both Martin Badham and Tony Reynolds together with Laura Gambling were in action again on Sunday in the East District Cycling Association's 100-mile event which was won by Nik Bowdler (Farnborough and Camberley Wheelers) in a course record-breaking time of three hours, 37 minutes and seven seconds.

Laura finished in 4-23:06, Tony Reynolds in 4-31:37 and Martin Badham in 6-11:15.
