BLESSED with a dry but windy day the open 10-mile time trial promoted by CC Breckland on Bank Holiday Monday saw Ray O'Rouke, riding for Flitch Crono, turn in the fastest time of the day with a time of 19 minutes 50 seconds.
BLESSED with a dry but windy day the open 10-mile time trial promoted by CC Breckland on Bank Holiday Monday saw Ray O'Rouke, riding for Flitch Crono, turn in the fastest time of the day with a time of 19 minutes 50 seconds.
With the only time under 20 minutes O'Rourke saw off Nino Picolli (API Metro) 20:11 and Lee Bark (Stowmarket CC) 20:54.
Breckland's Laura Robinson was fastest lady, her time of 24:20 easily beating Maggie Hamon (Verulam CC) who recorded 27:35 and Denise Hallahan (Wisbech Wheelers) 28:25.
Adam Cross, 14, turned in the ride of his life to finish in 24:30, fastest of the two juveniles but second to junior T Finch, Norwich ABC 22:48.
Riding his first open event, Adam's father Paul Cross was well pleased to finish 29:11.
Other Breckland times were C Nudds 22:35, A Stevenson 22:45, N Parravani 24:42, K Grasby 24:32, B Day 24:38, P Thetford 25:37 and N Eldridge 34:40.
