No luck for Thetford hockey players

Thetford Ladies 1, Watton II 2

HOCKEY: AN evenly matched game, the home team went home without any points against a luckier team.

Plenty of passing from the Thetford team created some space and some chances on goal however it was Watton who forced an error to convert a short corner.

Dawn Heavey replied with a perfectly-placed hit on goal, again from a short corner.

Sophie Kelly did a lot of running using her considerable skill to find her team-mates higher up the pitch.

In the second half Watton converted another short corner and despite much effort and many chances Thetford did not reply.

PoM: Sophie Kelly.
