Following negotiations with Breckland Council, Swaffham Town Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of ‘Bertie’ the bottlebank.
Bertie will reside in the car park at the football club and will be happy to accept donations of mixed coloured glass bottles and jars.
A club spokesman said: “We trust that the local community will take advantage of this provision and only ask that it’s used responsibly, peak times (match days) are avoided and that care in access and egress to Shoemakers Lane is taken.”
