Thetford took advantage of a rare off day for Division Two promotion rivals Hethersett & Tas Valley to boost their chances of promotion in the Dipple & Conway Opticians Norfolk Alliance.
It was far from plain sailing though after they had bowled out Bradenham for just 126, but Thetford eventually sneaked home with just one wicket to spare, thanks largely to Ryan Conroy’s unbeaten 79, to close the gap on the side in second place to a mere six points.
Danny Phelps and Joe Hills both took three wickets to help bowl the visitors out in 38.4 overs, before Conway led the way to a narrow victory.
