The first Super League darts game of the season saw the Thetford Men beat Dereham 4-3 but the ladies lost 4-0.

Craig Norton, Mark Flawn, Phil Carter and Gary King all won their games and there were 180s for man-of-the-match Mark Flawn in his league debut for Thetford and also for Terry Stanmore.

The ladies were not helped by being two players short. Shaun Morris played in the youth game and won it 2-1.

Thetford have now changed venues, they now play from the Ex-Service Club in Thetford.

Their first home tie is this Sunday, meeting at 6pm, new players welcome - the ladies' team is very short of players.

Results - Men: Craig Norton 3-0 22.43, Paul Goldsmith 1-3 24.07, Mark Flawn 3-0 24.24, Terry Stanmore 1-3 24.38, Geoff Herschell 1-3 20.68, Gary King 3-0 19.26, Phil Carter 3-2 20.16. Ladies: Rosemarie King 1-3 12.10, Nikky Watson 1-3 11.78.

Youth: Shaun Morris 2-1 12.30.
