Thetford Rugby Club finished their season on a memorable high after causing an upset in the Norfolk Junior Cup final.
Higher-level Lowestoft & Yarmouth were beaten 26-13 in the final, during the inaugural Woodforde’s Big Rugby Day, which saw seven county finals hosted at Crusaders Rugby Club in Little Melton on Saturday.
Thetford beat the London 3NE team following a sixth-placed finish in Greene King IPA Eastern Counties One this season, winning nine of their 11 matches for a comfortable mid-table finish.
