Despite a keen breeze some fast times were recorded, and personal bests tumbled.

The U15 boys had an especially good championship, earning three golds, two silvers and a bronze between them. Ryan Skipp excelled, returning with two trophies for blistering performances in the 200m and 400m. His PB times of 24.9 and 56.0 will see him move up the national rankings.

Will Davies put in a medal-winning performance to take gold in the 100m in 13 seconds and Jason Higgins ran an excellent 3000m race to take the silver in a PB time of 10:45.2. Thomas Kirton claimed a PB distance of 5.54m in the shot and eighth place in the 100m.

Oliver Thomson was on tremendous form with a 23.13m PB in the hammer earning him a silver medal, a good throw of 21.57m in the discus gave him the bronze, and 6.65m in shot resulted in fifth place.

In the men's U20 competitions, Josh Bucciferro achieved a PB at 200m with a time of 25.4sec to finish in sixth place in both this and the 100m finals.

For the U17 men, Phil Waity ran a well-planned race to take bronze in the 3000m with a great improvement in his PB finishing in 10:30.3.

In the 1500m Joseph Kirton also reduced his PB by a huge 25 seconds to finish in 4:44.9. Jonathon Mead had an excellent day, with a bronze medal at 400m and fourth place in the 200m and achieving PBs in both races.

Daniel Howe, competing in the U13 boys' long jump, achieved a ninth place with a good jump of 3.48m.

Georgina Howe put in medal-winning displays in the U17 women's throws - taking a gold in discus with 28.17m and bronze in hammer with 34.27m.

In the U15 girls' section Rachel Mumford gained silver medals in the 800m and in the high jump, matching her PB with a jump of 1.35m. A fast finish in the 1500m earned her fourth.

Anna Hayward made an excellent PB p of 3.99m in the long jump to finish in fifth place in both this event and the 100m. Elisha Bowers achieved a PB of 3.35m in the same competition, finishing in sixth place, and ran well to gain fourth place in the 200m and sixth in the 100m. Megan Norry performed well in the 1500m to finish eighth with a time of 5:29.4.

Grace Humby, had a tremendous run in the U13 girls' 1500m, trimming 20 seconds from her PB to finish in 5:46.6 in sixth place, and was fourth in the 800m in 2:57.6.
