Other times were Bobby D'eath 19:57 (24:19), Iain Dawson 20:12 (26:09), A Holland 20:14 (30:41), C Nudds 20:20 (25:00), while Dave Smith's (Comrades) time of 19:34 (30:27) beat Peter Hamon's (Verulam) 21:22 (29:56).
Ten riders contested the five-miler at North Tuddenham, with Adam Cross running winner D'eath to a close finish, with his 12:24 just 11 seconds slower.
The Cross family were out in force, with dad Paul timing 14:45 and mum Debbie 16:10, while others were G Muller 12:07, K Price 12:30, A Holland 14:26, M Badham 15:37 and a 'come and try it' entrant 18:48.
The last open event of the season is CC Breckland's 50-mile trial on Sunday at Morley.
