Thetford Dolphins swimmers travelled to Wisbech for round one of the Senior Fenland League and claimed a deserved third place behind the second placed hosts and winners West Norfolk.

Aimee Dickerson set a new club record for the girls’ 10 years 50m breaststroke to beat a mark that has stood since 1999.

Alice Fasey broke two club records for the girls’ 13 years, one for the 100m IM which had stood since 1988 and the other for 100m breast which had stood since 1995.

Ben Buckley was the sole winner, being was victorious in the boys’ 10 years and under 50m free and 50m fly.

Further personal bests in a good team effort went to Daniel Clark (100m IM and 100m breast), Amalee Neill-Gourlay (50m back), Leon Galler (100m fly), Maximilian Jadczak (50m breast and 50m back), Alfie King (100m free), Louis James (50m fly and 100m IM), Isaac Clark (50m breast) and Jacob Wright (100m back).
