THETFORD Hockey Club Ladies' second team had to battle hard against Lowestoft Railway to get a well-deserved point with a 1-1 draw. Thetford went behind at the start of the second half, but with a great run from Tracey Newman and a great ball in meant that Paula Scott could score to make the score 1-1.

Thetford had great play at times between player-of-the-match Morgan Bert, Abby Rolph, Leanne Smith and Louise Harrison who provided good balls for Sophie Buckley and Becky Taylor to try and score but Railway's defence managed clear.
Railway also had chances on goal but Dee Burris and Alena Sweigart and Jess Rundle in goal managed to keep the scores level.
Thetford had great determination and good encouragement from Simone Bull on the sideline which kept them going to the final whistle.
Overall, a great team performance.
