Thetford Dolphins swimmer Alfie King was awarded his Norfolk County Colours by Norfolk ASA president Jean Thompson at the recent relay gala at Norwich UEA. This is for representing the county four times.
Meanwhile, the Norfolk School Games swimming finals took place at the UEA on Thursday and the Breckland team had been selected from a previous event held at Waterworld, Thetford.
Several Thetford Dolphin members made the team and raced over the four strokes at 25m distance. Bronze medals were achieved in Yr6 boys freestyle by Roah Cooper, and Yr5 girls backstroke by Kacie Cooper. Silver medals went to Kacie Cooper in Yr5 girls breaststroke, Aimee Dickerson in Yr6 girls breaststroke, James Foot in Yr6 boys breaststroke and Billie-Jordan Butler in Yr4 girls butterfly.
The only gold medal for the Breckland team went to Billie-Jordan Butler, nine, in the Yr4 girls freestyle.
