THE Dawas freestyle karate club, based in Thetford, recently held its first adult and junior grading of the year.

For some of the juniors this was the first time they had taken a grade and others were taking up to their second purple belt and similar for the adults.

Throughout both adults and junior grade the examiners panel all said there was a high degree of skill shown by all and they had all worked hard in the months leading up to the grading.

The grades consist of several sections from displays of kicking, punching, blocks, self defence and sparring.

All the Dawas instructors said they feel proud of what all the students had achieved.
