Caister Reserves 3, East Harling 5

THIS back-to-back fixture was always going to be difficult having beaten Caister 6-2 at home. The game was evenly contested throughout, but Harling missed several good chances. Danny Watts put Martin Gent through after 20 minutes and he went round the keeper to score. Ten minutes later Caister equalised before Gent went through again and his shot was deflected in for an own goal, to give Harling a fortunate half-time lead.

The second half saw much pressure for 20 minutes from the home side and they deservedly went 3-2 ahead. With 20 minutes left Lee West moved into midfield and got the team going forward. Peter Blades burst through to equalise then Ben Chase put Harling ahead with 10 minutes left. Then Gent got his second to seal the win. Not their best performance but the last 20 minutes saw Harling finish the game strongly and just about deserve the win.

Matty Price and Lee West were the pick of the side whilst Martin Gent always looked likely to score.

Next up Harleston away.

East Harling Reserves 1, Saham Toney 6

With several players with the First team and work commitments Harling did well to field a side. Against a strong Saham Toney, who are pushing for promotion, Harling's reshuffled line-up did well to hold Saham to 3-1 up to 15 minutes from time and three late goals did little justice to their committed performance.

Harley Durrant got Harling's goal and manager Kevin Lawes was pleased with the team's efforts.

Next up Holt Reserves at home.
