Thetford Dolphins were out in force for the Norfolk County Championships at Norwich UEA – and once again they performed brilliantly against the region’s best swimmers.

Alice Fasey became Norfolk champion for the girls’ 13 years 50m breaststroke, setting a new club record. She also set club records for the girls’ 12 years in 200m IM (PB), 100m breast (PB), finishing second in the final, and 100m free (PB), finishing fourth in the final.

The following Dolphins all reached their respected finals: Alexandra Ashley fifth in 100m free (PB), Archie King sixth 50m fly (PB) and third 50m back (PB), Louis James eighth 50m fly and sixth 100m back (PB), Leon Galler eighth 50m fly (PB), Alfie King fifth 50m fly (PB) and second 50m back, Harry Fasey third 100m breast (PB) and eighth 100m back (PB), Grace McGill fourth 50m back and eighth 100m free, Kacie Cooper seventh 100m breast and eighth 50m breast, Aimee Dickerson fifth 50m breast (PB) and Amie Copp fourth 50m breast.

Club records were achieved by Alfie King, 13, finishing second in the final of the 100m back (PB), Ben Buckley 10 years 200m breast (PB), Macauley Harvey 16 years and over 200m breast (PB), Grace McGill 17 years and over 200m IM and 50m back and Amie Copp 17 years and over 100m breast finishing fourth in the final.

These Dolphins all set personal bests: Isaac Clark, Toby Dickenson, Amalee Neill-Gourlay, Emma Malcolm, Jacob Wright, Felipe Marinho and Francesca Long.
