THE scheduled Boxing Day derby between Ridgeons Division One rivals Swaffham and Thetford was postponed because of the snow lingering at Shoemakers Lane.
There is news on the signing front for Swaffham, however, with Matthew Parkinson and the returning Sam Darlow joining the Pedlars from King's Lynn and Chris Sainty from Reffley.
A club spokesman said: “We wish them a warm welcome to Swaffham and trust that they will enjoy their time playing for the Pedlars. The committee and players thank all their members, supporters and sponsors for their commitment this year and wish them the very best for 2010, Happy New Year from Swaffham Town Football Club.”
The first weekend of the new year sees no game for Swaffham first team, the reserves are at home to St Andrews Reserves (kick-off 2pm) and the A team travel to Yaxham, 2pm.
