It was a good day for Cycling Club Breckland’s Alex Bailey riding in the ECCA 10 mile time trial on the fast E2/10 course near Newmarket.
Not only did Alex ride to a personal best time of 21:33 he got to meet race winner Alex Dowsett, the Movistar Professional and reigning British Time Trial champion.
The pro rider started three minutes behind Bailey, who was pleased to hold him to mile eight. Dowsett’s winning time was 17:46, the fourth fastest 10 mile time trial ever recorded in the UK.
The only other rider for Breckland was Mick Wood, who rode well to a time of 24:40.
