DURING her year as ladies captain at Swaffham Golf Club, Ann Ewer has been raising funds for SSAFA, Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association as her nominated charity.
Following the ladies competition on Wednesday, September 29 Ann proudly presented a cheque for �1,188.75 to Lt Commander Stuart Fidler from the Royal Navy who is chairman of SSAFA Norfolk branch.
Ann paid tribute to the ladies who have supported her this year with the fundraising effort and expressed particular thanks to Sue Pilcher who, through her gourmet sponsored charity lunches contributed significantly to the magnificent sum raised.
Lt Commander Fidler expressed his sincere thanks to Ann and the ladies of Swaffham Golf Club for the donation that will be such a help to the work that SSAFA undertakes in the region.
