Bridgham United travelled to table toppers and county cup finalists Dereham Taverners looking to restore some pride after losing 12-1 to them a month ago in the cup.
They had a stronger side available this time and gave a much improved performance before going down 3-1.
Dereham took the lead on 17 minutes when their lively winger scored and made it 2-0 on 40 minutes through the same player. Alex Snow went close for Bridgham just before half-time when his goal- bound shot was saved.
Bridgham started the second half on the front foot and Liam Levy-Twomey fired one chance just wide before seeing another well saved. Dereham then scored the goal of the game on 69 minutes with a fine effort from outside the box.
Bridgham battled on, with Jason Conroy hitting the bar, and they did make it 3-1 on 76 minutes when from a Tom Wood pass Liam Levy-Twomey finished well for his 12th goal of the season.
