BRIDGHAM United travelled to Gressenhall looking to continue their climb up the table and won 3-2.

After an even start it was Gressenhall who opened the scoring from close range. Bridgham hit back with an equaliser when a superb cross from Jeff Baxter was headed in by James Dean at the far post for 1-1.

Then just as the half was coming to an end, Bridgham worked a free-kick to James Dean, who fired the ball into the corner of the net for 2-1.

Striker Baxter was having a good game and this was rewarded with a goal when he ran onto a Steve Harries clearance to outpace the Gressenhall defence and fire past the keeper for 3-1.

Gressenhall did not give up and pulled it back to 3-2 with a shot from the edge of the penalty area which beat Bridgham keeper Lee Freeman.

Bridgham however dug in and defended well as a team and saw the game out to secure another win, and as a result climb to a season's high of sixth place in the league.

MoM was full-back Steve Harries, with striker Jeff Baxter also having a fine game.

Bridgham are away to Mulbarton Wanderers in the league this Saturday, kick-off 3pm.
