The Brecks A team just failed by half a point to gain promotion to Division Two of the Norfolk County Bowls League. Playing against North Walsham B, they won the match 75-67 (5½-1½).

G Mealing, T Bingham, J Gardner, P Scott, 28-12; L Holden, D Peaks, D Kay, M Scarborough, 16-15; M Rutter, G Farthing, A Byford, M Struthers, 19-19; B Mosby, E Melton, W Pattee, J Wright, 12-21.

The men's B team also finished their league programme with a fine away win at Roundwood B 98-64 (7-0), to finish in a respectable mid-table position.

B Brewer, B Smith, W Boast, G Hollowood, 27-19; B Sales, L Friend, J Anderson, L Robinson, 23-12; S Brider, S Stones, T Lamb, S Davey, 24-14; S Ferney, J Baldwin, J Kennedy, V Waterlow, 24-19.

In a friendly against Wyondham Dell, Brecks lost a very close game 90-91.
