Cycling Club Breckland riders Chris Nudds and Nick Parravani rode in the Stowmarket & District CC 20-mile Time Trial on the BS33 at Debenham.
A nagging wind and poor road surfaces gave the riders plenty to think about on the way round.
Chris rode strongly despite a spate of recent illness to win his age category in 51.02. Nick also finished under the hour clocking in at 59.20. Winning the event and setting a new course record in the process was Team Onform’s Ollie Jones, finishing in an impressive 42.39.
Over in Cambourne Alex Bailey was riding the Team Sale Engine 10-mile Time Trial on the F2D/10 course. After a fast out leg on the excellent road surface, the wind was a major factor on the exposed return leg causing a lot of riders to lose speed.
Alex finished in 22.03 despite being held up at two roundabouts. The event was won in 19.34 by Team Bottrill rider Stuart Travis.
