BRANDON Town secured the draw they needed to maintain their premiership status after twice coming from behind on a nervous afternoon, drawing with Cromer 2-2.
With so much at stake it was never going to be an entertaining spectacle. Cromer went ahead after 10 minutes when Danny Brown pounced when Brandon failed to clear their lines.
Brandon then showed great mettle and Parsons was in good form in the visitors' goal to deny Edwards and Sobiechowski. Edwards should have levelled and Wright took too long to soot and was closed down. Brandon drew level just after the half hour from a corner. Tuffs rose well to score his first senior goal on an afternoon when he defended like a Trojan.
Brandon should have been in front at half time but could not add to their tally.
The second half saw nerves get to the home side, losing the ball in the middle of the park, Durrant tapped in at the far post as the cross eluded everyone. Brandon looked unlikely to score but the addition of Leamon and Kent helped as Leamon and Sobiechowski combined down the right.
The latter's cross fell to Williams to restore the balance. A tense finish saw no clear cut chances for either team and Brandon will need to strengthen in the close season to compete with the best.
Elsewhere Brandon A won 1-0 at home to Wendling to keep their promotion hopes alive. Callingham providing the winner.
